Hello there! Here is the September Challenge at Lindy's Stamp Gang.
Here are the Rules.
- Help us spread the word! Share our color challenge graphic in your blog post and link to the Lindy’s Stamp Gang blog, where the challenge can be found. For every 50 people that enter, we’ll have one giveaway! So 100 entries=2 giveaways.
- Use Lindy’s Stamp Gang products! You can use, Starbursts, Flat Fabios, Moon Shadows, Glitz Spritz, Magicals, Embossing Powders, Mica Powders… any of ourstamps, laser cut-outs, or brass charms.
- Use a minimum of two colors in the color challenge. You’re welcome to add neutrals, white, black, grey and brown.
- Link the Lindy products you used to the Lindy’s Stamp Gang store, like this: Hibiscus Rose.
- Each Friday we will choose a few of the entries to feature on the Lindy’s Stamp Gang blog. Those who are featured on the blog will receive an email with a 20% off coupon to use at a time of their choosing.
Color suggestions for this challenge:-
I’m Late, I’m Late Slate Glitter,Razzleberry Plum Embossing Powder,Silver Moon Mistletoe Embossing Powder,Frozen Jack Frost,Black Orchid Silver,Green With Envy Green,Ramblin’ Rose Pink,Kissin’ Kenickie Coral,Tweedle Dee Denim,Tea Pot Purple,Down The Rabbit Hole,Cosmopolitan Pink,Frosted Forget Me Nots,Mountain Lavendar Gold,Spring Leaf Chartreuse,Aurora Amethyst,Imperial Crown Purple Gold,Midnight Violet Obsidian,Adobe Fire,Kaiser Rudolf Russet,Cleopatra Copper
I wasn't too sure about these colours because
I am just NOT a purple girl, but I just LOVED
creating my layout & especially loved the result!
I used the following Lindy's Stamp Gang Products:-
Starbursts {mists}, as well as Aurora Amethyst Embossing Powder.
When creating with any mists or wet mediums I try where possible {if I am using a white base that is} to use light-weight water-colour paper {with a gsm of 180 - 200} so that there is less warp. Once my base is completed {but before I add any dimensional elements} I adhere it to a sheet of cardstock/patterned paper & use my brayer to flatten it out. See my related video tutorial HERE.
For texture on my background I used old book paper, mesh tape,
chipboard, staples, stencils, stamping, bling, resins,
metal elements, stickers & woollen thread.
It takes me about an hour to put my backgrounds together
{including drying time as I use my heat gun} but it's a time
I really enjoy as it is always fun yet still experimental for me.
Adding the rest of my elements on top of my base will take me
another hour or so, then there is the clean up. I work in a tiny
studio so I have to clear my counter as soon as I am finished
{as I hate seeing a messy worktop when I need to get my next
project started}. This can take me an hour as I have to clean
off all my tools, stamps, stencils etc & get everything put away
again. So all in all it's a 3 hour job or the best part of one
evening. Time well spent I say :)
So will you play with us at LSG this month?
You can buy all you need from various retail outlets or directly
from their own online store. Something awesome about their
products is everything arrives DRY {no water added} which
means it is great for posting & for internationals as not only is
there ZERO chance of messy, wet spillage but it is also lighter
too!
Other manufacturers used:-
Prima - patterned paper {Firefly Collection} Fireflies
Metal Bird Cages - Ingvild Bolme for Prima
Resin Roses - Donna Downey for Prima
Metal Roses - Finnabair for Prima
Stickers, stencil & stamps
Scrapmatts - chipboard
Flourish With a Bling - Pearl Bling Flourishes
